CHRISTMAS TREE CLOSEUPS 2013

I thought it would be fun to show the tree really close up...sometime it's hard to see all the pretty ornaments from a distance,....

This is my newest ornament from my friend Teryl.  She knows how I love chickens and roosters.  Isn't Henny Penny beautiful.. I just love her.

Packages all wrapped for my granddaughter and son.  I had to put them up on the bench because Waldo chewed the end off of one of them, didn't hurt the gift but I have to rewrap.

More ornaments - do you see the little gold baby - such a sweet face.

See the beautiful candle stick and red wine glasses on the coffee table -   Phyllis from Around the House and I had our little gift exchange yesterday and that was her gift to me - they are simply beautiful.  We had a grand time talking and munching  on a few goodies.  Of course we had some delicious wine too - it was very festive and such fun.

Here is a better picture of the candle stick and wine glasses

Posted by PicasaSo there you have a few pictures of the ornaments on my tree - see the birds nest with eggs.

Today it's baking and finishing up Christmas cards, then Saturday packing the car and Sunday I'm on my way to San Jose, just like the song....

So my dear blogging friends, I wish for you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
I have enjoyed this past year blogging with you and look forward to 2014.

Mary

CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR 2013

Christmas at the Ferguson's

This Candy Tree is in the kitchen and it is full of candy canes, cookies and gingerbread.   Santa and his helpers are busy supervising their special tree.

Santa is really inspecting the cookies on the tree.  He wants them perfect.

The Candy Cane wreath is in the kitchen and it goes with the tree.

The buffet is filled with all sorts of candy - Santa and the Nutcracker are there ready to serve you a treat

This wreath I have in my dining room.

Santa and his Jester are watching over all the Christmas decorations.  See the little elf's  - they are all over the garland helping Santa keep an eye on the things.  I saw a hutch in Southern Lady with the garland and Santa's on them.  I liked it so much that I tried to copy it.

There is Lili laying by the tree again  I think she is guarding the tree.

Do you see the twinkling lights on the patio - they look so good at night very festive and just enough light for the patio.

The decoration on the coffee table is just a wreath with a few picks and candles.

Waldo loves to get his picture taken - he is such a ham.... This is the patio off of the living  and one whole wall is a slider so the view is great.  I like to decorate the table for the different seasons.  I spend a lot of time out there and when it's cold I light the fire place.

A chippy ladder that I purchased at a garage sale for $4.00.
I put some garland on it, ribbon and bird houses.
Makes a great decoration for Christmas.

Just a little table for 2.  The table is steel and was cut by a laser machine.  I was at a trade show in Chicago about 10 years ago and the booth next to our's was making these tables and they gave me one.  I had it put on my North American Van returning to our offices in California.

Last but not least is my gardening Santa sitting on my little serving table on the patio.  I hope you liked the tour of my little cottage.

Lili, Waldo and myself wish all of you a wonderful MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
We hope you leave a comment  ..... as we love to read them.

OH CHRISTMAS TREE - OH CHRISTMAS TREE

Lili and Waldo taking their morning nap by the Christmas Tree.  For some reason this year they like to lay by the tree and look at the lights - they are not bothering anything, just like to be there.

Here are some of my favorite ornaments on the tree - this is my granddaughter Kelly, taken last year.

My son gave me this beautiful white fluffy bird - she is so  pretty.

Lili and Waldo just dreaming of turkey that they THINK there going to get.

Here are some of my many Santa's  Don't you just love the rooster pillow given to me by Kelly last year for Christmas.  She never forgets to get me something with a rooster or chicken on it.  Don't you just love the grand kids....

This beautiful Santa was made by my very best friend Phyllis from Around the House about 8 years ago.  Didn't she do a fabulous job on Santa.  The details are so very good.

This is another favorite of mine - purchased at Shinoda's Wholesale store .  They always have such wonderful delights there.

A different angle of the Christmas Tree.

So there you have a few of my decorations in the living room along with my sweet babies.  Will be posting more of my decorations in the kitchen, dinning room, front porch and back patio - until then  ...... Wishing all of my Blogging Friends a wonderful Christmas.

Lili, Waldo and I love reading all of your comments.

Mary

CHRISTMAS IN FULLERTONVILLE

Welcome to Christmas in Fullertonville.  Everyone in town is so excited with Christmas coming soon.
There are sleigh rides, ice skating in the town square, sleighing down the mountain and children's train rides.

This is Mayor Kringle's home - isn't it beautiful.  You can see Mrs. Kringle having tea with her granddaughter
Kelly, in the parlor.

Oh look - Kris's Christmas Tree Farm is doing a booming business as everyone in town wants to put their tree up before the next snow storm comes in.  It is such fun to cut down your own tree and bring it home.

The children are having such fun.  The maintenance men fixed a little slide for the younger children, so they could have some fun also.  Yea Yea Yea.

The maintenance men also thought of everything for everyone ........

Here is Fullertonville's lovely Bed and Breakfast for the tourists who are traveling to this wonderful town.  Mrs. Jingle cooks a really terrific breakfast and the smells that come from her kitchen are so yummy.  Her muffins are to die for.....

Here is our Village Crossing Depot, however the trains are not running today because of the snow storm.  As you can imagine the B & B is full and Mrs. Jingle is very busy taking care of all her guests.

I sure hope there are no fires or emergencies  as the Fire Truck cannot get out due to the snow.  I am sure they are shoveling so they can get out.

This is such a fun store so many collectibles in there - I'm sure many blogger's travel here to find some very unusual treasures.  I hope the snow melt just a little so they can go shopping.

Here is our wonderful French Bakery - oh the desserts, cookies and bread that they make would melt in your mouth.
The sandwiches are also terrific - you know this is a French Bakery Pierre is from France.  People travel for miles to get some of his French desserts.

Mrs. Bee's Yarn Shoppe has so many wonderful types of yarn, in all colors.  Ladies travel for miles to purchase yarn from her shop.  Hope that everyone has purchased their yarn before the big snow storm came in and there is another one on the way.  Oh dear......

OH, look....Mr. Barsom's shop is closed - no lights on.  I bet he is up in the mountains skiing.  He makes such beautiful furniture and does a great job refinishing old pieces with Annie Sloan's paint.  He must have completed all of his orders.  Such a kind gentleman and a great craftsman.  We are so lucky to have him here.

Here is the Ivan and Davis - 1896 - Building.  The Incredible Toy Emporium.  People travel for miles to come and purchase the most unusual toys for their children.  I love to just go in and look at all the lovely toys they have  The children get so excited with anticipation wondering what Santa will be bringing them.

OH, look at that Henry putting up a sign - oh goody goody a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday for only $5.00.  They must have gotten the roads open.  There is Mrs. Kringle holding Kelly up to mail a letter to Santa, hope he gets it in time.  Poor Waldo is trying to get a drink from the frozen fountain.  He loves the snow - running around and around trying to catch snowflakes.

Here is an overview of the town of Fullertonville.  It is a wonderful place to come for a visit, so quaint and everyone is so friendly.  Remember to make your reservations early before the B & B gets sold out.

WISHING EVERYONE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Mary
