I've been Spotlighted on Saturday's "LIFE BEHIND THE BLOGGER"

I went right over to Junk Chic Cottage and read your post...what fun to find out so many great things about you. You really had a wonderful career and it is always so much fun to see your garden pictures plus the adorable photos of you.
ReplyDeleteArmstongs had a sale last night, I have been lusting over their Geese decoys so I got one for the garden, I will eventually get it a mate (-:. Thought they would be cute around the pond.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise! Just returning here after reading the wonderful feature on you over at Junk Chic Cottage! So enjoyed seeing those beautiful photos of you and your family, and your gardens look spectacular. Love the bouquet of red roses with the dainty feverfew flowers, and pearls. Also got a better idea of the layout of your home and your rooms are so very charming, as is your front entrance with all the different heights of pretties and that smart bannister! So very storybook chic!

I had the bannister installed a couple years ago since I will be 79 next month - have to start granny proofing
Deletemy home as I want to stay in it as long as I can. I love my little cottage and worked so hard to get it.
I am so glad that you liked the Spotlight. It was very hard to give up my career, as I loved it! I got to meet so many famous people in my travels and at work. If I didn't have COPD, I would be back working again. I still get calls to come and work for hotels, but I just can't.
So now you know most of my secrets.

Mary, I just visited Junk Chic Cottage and read many wonderful things about you. You are such a lovely person, and I loved both your graduation picture and the other one. You have an Aunt Nel?......how funny. My Nel would love that. I'm so sorry to hear that you were so sick, and I hope you are better now with all of the health issues you've had. The red roses made me smile, and they are just beautiful. Thank you for sharing your story with us, Mary. I'm so glad you made it this way to Southern California. Thanks so much Sheri for you kind comments. I had two Aunt Nell's and 1 cousin, Nellie, who I love dearly. We are more like sister than cousins.
DeleteI still have COPD and will never get over it. I just have to keep it in control, but weather has a lot to do with it. I never smoked so don't know why I ended up with it.
