CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR 2013

Christmas at the Ferguson's

This Candy Tree is in the kitchen and it is full of candy canes, cookies and gingerbread.   Santa and his helpers are busy supervising their special tree.

Santa is really inspecting the cookies on the tree.  He wants them perfect.

The Candy Cane wreath is in the kitchen and it goes with the tree.

The buffet is filled with all sorts of candy - Santa and the Nutcracker are there ready to serve you a treat

This wreath I have in my dining room.

Santa and his Jester are watching over all the Christmas decorations.  See the little elf's  - they are all over the garland helping Santa keep an eye on the things.  I saw a hutch in Southern Lady with the garland and Santa's on them.  I liked it so much that I tried to copy it.

There is Lili laying by the tree again  I think she is guarding the tree.

Do you see the twinkling lights on the patio - they look so good at night very festive and just enough light for the patio.

The decoration on the coffee table is just a wreath with a few picks and candles.

Waldo loves to get his picture taken - he is such a ham.... This is the patio off of the living  and one whole wall is a slider so the view is great.  I like to decorate the table for the different seasons.  I spend a lot of time out there and when it's cold I light the fire place.

A chippy ladder that I purchased at a garage sale for $4.00.
I put some garland on it, ribbon and bird houses.
Makes a great decoration for Christmas.

Just a little table for 2.  The table is steel and was cut by a laser machine.  I was at a trade show in Chicago about 10 years ago and the booth next to our's was making these tables and they gave me one.  I had it put on my North American Van returning to our offices in California.

Last but not least is my gardening Santa sitting on my little serving table on the patio.  I hope you liked the tour of my little cottage.

Lili, Waldo and myself wish all of you a wonderful MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
We hope you leave a comment  ..... as we love to read them.

    1. Most of the ornaments are old on my candy tree also - I really love that tree. I only purchase 3 ornaments this year. I need to start down sizing.
      Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.

  7. Mary!! Your home is so colorful, whimsical and festive! You must have tons of energy! I just love everything, especially that cute tree in the kitchen. And the candy!! How do you not give in to temptation? I've been heating about a pound of Hershey Kisses a night!! ;-)

    1. The candy in glass canisters is old and I wouldn't eat it. I put them in zip lock bags in a cool area and use the candy each year. Now when I make fudge and cookies I will be in trouble. LOL
No I do not have a lot of energy - I have COPD so I work awhile and then rest. I eventually get it done and then some days I can't do anything but rest. But I keep on trucking.....
thanks so much for your lovely comments.
      MERRY CHRISTMAS.

    1. Thanks so much Liz. I purchased most of the candy tree ornaments from Shinoda Wholesale Center. They had the most fabulous Candy Tree there and I copied it and its been about 7 years ago. If I see something that will go I purchase that ornament but not anything new out there. I just love decorating that tree.
      Have a Merry Christmas.

    1. Thanks Diana, it was fun to decorate this year but a lot of work and I am not even going to be here for Christmas LOL Can you tell that I LOVE LOVE Christmas. No I didn't buy the red sectional just for Christmas. I walked into that store and fell in love with it and had to have it also it was a floor model and I got it discounted.
That baby girl is in my prayers along with your grandson.
Have a wonderful Christmas with all your loving family.

Your lovely home is decked out in red and white and pink delight. The mini tree in your kitchen is adorable and so playful! I love the chippy ladder dressed in garland, very shabby chic! I am especially taken with the pretty buffet vignette for its candy counter mood and whimsical character! Your home glows beautifully this Christmas, enjoy!

  14. Thanks Shelia, you are always so supportive of my posts. It was fun decorating for Christmas and this was the first Christmas when I wasn't working or sick. I think I went a little overboard and you never know when your olden if you will be able to decorate next year.
This is the first time that the babies have hung out so much by the tree. Maybe they are waiting for their present. LOL
Have a wonderful Christmas you and Mr. Precious.

  15. Lovely decorations! I liked being able to see your outside lights through your front window & I'm jealous that you have temps warm enough to decorate your patio!
All the peppermint/candy items are precious!
I used to get Southern Lady magazine & loved it. I don't think I ever tossed away a single issue either. I'm running out of room to store all my favorite magazines now though, so I've discontinued a lot of them. I still go back to look through the ones I've saved. Some ideas are timeless, like the Santas all along your hutch. CUTE!

  23. When shopping for wedding accessories, many brides love to shop worldwide. There are multiple ways of doing this, one being to shop online. But an increasingly popular way of shopping for designer, boutique, vintage, and one-of-a-kind wedding accessories is to actually travel to different countries.
