Lili and Waldo taking their morning nap by the Christmas Tree. For some reason this year they like to lay by the tree and look at the lights - they are not bothering anything, just like to be there.
Here are some of my favorite ornaments on the tree - this is my granddaughter Kelly, taken last year.
My son gave me this beautiful white fluffy bird - she is so pretty.
Lili and Waldo just dreaming of turkey that they THINK there going to get.
Here are some of my many Santa's Don't you just love the rooster pillow given to me by Kelly last year for Christmas. She never forgets to get me something with a rooster or chicken on it. Don't you just love the grand kids....
This beautiful Santa was made by my very best friend Phyllis from Around the House about 8 years ago. Didn't she do a fabulous job on Santa. The details are so very good.
This is another favorite of mine - purchased at Shinoda's Wholesale store . They always have such wonderful delights there.
A different angle of the Christmas Tree.
So there you have a few of my decorations in the living room along with my sweet babies. Will be posting more of my decorations in the kitchen, dinning room, front porch and back patio - until then ...... Wishing all of my Blogging Friends a wonderful Christmas.
Lili, Waldo and I love reading all of your comments.

Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteFirstly, so happy to see you posting more often as I always look forward to visiting your beautiful surroundings!
Now, to today's post: the most precious accessories, ornaments or gifts are always those that are either handmade or chosen with the intended recipient's hobbies/joys/interests in mind, are they not? The rooster pillow from your granddaughter, as well as Phyllis' charming Santa, are two examples of this, and they just see, to bring that person closer to you during the holidays.
Lili and Waldo have to keep dreaming of their own sugar plums, until you bestow them with an equivalent! Your tree is pretty and bright and trimmed to delight!
Have a lovely week!
Merry Christmas!
Poppy
Thanks so much Poppy for your lovely comments. I have only been blogging a year in January so I am quite new to this. I should have post more pictures of the tree, but I wasn't happy with them. I will be posting my Candy Cane tree in the kitchen and some of the delights that I have in the dining room.
DeleteYes you are right about special gifts that are handmade by friends.
Have a terrific week.
Mary
Mary,
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas tree is so pretty, and your house adorned with festive décor. I am loving all the RED and the Santas, and the fluffy bird your son gave you is special. Everything looks so nice, and your home says "welcome" to me. You are into the Christmas spirit, Mary, and that is so nice to see. Your dogs are enjoying the season too!
Love,
~Sheri
Thanks so much Sheri for your comments. I got into Christmas a little more than I wanted to LOL. Couldn't help myself. Now that I am older I will have to scale back more as it is just to hard and the thought of taking down all the Christmas decorations is to much. But I LOVE Christmas. The bird that my son gave me is stunning - she is sitting on a gold ornament - so pretty. I thought I had taken a picture of a glass hummer that my son gave me but it didn't turn out.
DeleteHave a great week Sheri.
Mary
Your decorations look so pretty! My dog also likes to sit beside the Christmas tree. I think he loves Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas,
Amy Jo
Thanks for your comments - I do love Christmas. Waldo the BC chewed up one of the wrapped packages this morning because I didn't go outside with him quick enough. He has NEVER done that before. I think the dogs like to look at the lights.
DeleteHave a Very Merry Christmas.
Mary
Your tree is just gorgeous, Mary! What sweet photos of Lily and Waldo just laying there, enjoying the view! They are so pretty!! I love your cute fluffy bird ornament, and your santas are just beautiful. And the French rooster pillow is tre bon!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your wonderful comments. Can you tell that Christmas is my very favorite holiday. I have really scaled back since I am older now as it's just to much to do.
DeleteWaldo chewed up one of my boxes this morning - didn't hurt the present but now I have to re-wrap it. I didn't go outside quick enough to suit him this morning. He never does anything like that. Hope Katie is being a good girl.
A Very Merry Christmas to you.
Mary
Hi Mary, your tree is gorgeous. I love the color and how pretty it is with your toile drapes in this room. Lili and Waldo are darlings by the tree. Such sweethearts to be so good and not bother anything.
ReplyDeleteLove your Santa collection, your beautiful ornaments and your grand daughter is so pretty. Love the pillow she gave you too. And the sweet bird from your son is precious. Christmas at your house is beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your décor.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I didn't put out all my Santa's this year as it got to be to much decorating. But I do LOVE Christmas. Waldo was naughty today he chewed up the corner of a box that I had wrapped for Kelly - didn't hurt anything, but now I have to re-wrap. I think he was mad because I didn't go outside with him when he though I should - are we spoiled? Yes we are.....
ReplyDeleteHave a Very Merry Christmas.
Mary
Mary, your tree is stunning as is all your decor. Love the two doggies, too. xo

Mary...your home looks beautiful and festive. I love the pretty ornaments, Kelly is a beautiful girl! And you have a wonderful Santa collection! I do snowmen, very small ones that can fit in my small house! lol!
ReplyDeleteThe pups look so content under the tree. Mine act very aloof around mine, I can just sense them thinking, "Wow, these people are weird. A tree in the living room!"
XO,
Jane
Thanks Jane for your kind comments. Of course I think Kelly is beautiful but I;m her grandma. I didn't pt out all my Santa's this year only a few. I love snowmen also and have quite a few - wanted to do a little tree with snowmen but didn't, maybe next year.

Hello Mary,
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty tree; your red is just beautiful! I see some toile there in your room as well and I'm a big fan of toile anything. Your doggies are really smart to lie there next to the tree and yet not touch anything. Thank you so much for your visit and your lovely comment today. I hope you have a lovely and joyous week.
Christmas blessings,
Sandi
Thanks Sandie, I love toile and have it in three rooms. Red and White in my bedroom, black and white in the den and the the yellow and red in the living/dining room. I guess you can tell that I love red and have it in every room.
