CHRISTMAS IN FULLERTONVILLE

Welcome to Christmas in Fullertonville.  Everyone in town is so excited with Christmas coming soon.
There are sleigh rides, ice skating in the town square, sleighing down the mountain and children's train rides.

This is Mayor Kringle's home - isn't it beautiful.  You can see Mrs. Kringle having tea with her granddaughter
Kelly, in the parlor.

Oh look - Kris's Christmas Tree Farm is doing a booming business as everyone in town wants to put their tree up before the next snow storm comes in.  It is such fun to cut down your own tree and bring it home.

The children are having such fun.  The maintenance men fixed a little slide for the younger children, so they could have some fun also.  Yea Yea Yea.

The maintenance men also thought of everything for everyone ........

Here is Fullertonville's lovely Bed and Breakfast for the tourists who are traveling to this wonderful town.  Mrs. Jingle cooks a really terrific breakfast and the smells that come from her kitchen are so yummy.  Her muffins are to die for.....

Here is our Village Crossing Depot, however the trains are not running today because of the snow storm.  As you can imagine the B & B is full and Mrs. Jingle is very busy taking care of all her guests.

I sure hope there are no fires or emergencies  as the Fire Truck cannot get out due to the snow.  I am sure they are shoveling so they can get out.

This is such a fun store so many collectibles in there - I'm sure many blogger's travel here to find some very unusual treasures.  I hope the snow melt just a little so they can go shopping.

Here is our wonderful French Bakery - oh the desserts, cookies and bread that they make would melt in your mouth.
The sandwiches are also terrific - you know this is a French Bakery Pierre is from France.  People travel for miles to get some of his French desserts.

Mrs. Bee's Yarn Shoppe has so many wonderful types of yarn, in all colors.  Ladies travel for miles to purchase yarn from her shop.  Hope that everyone has purchased their yarn before the big snow storm came in and there is another one on the way.  Oh dear......

OH, look....Mr. Barsom's shop is closed - no lights on.  I bet he is up in the mountains skiing.  He makes such beautiful furniture and does a great job refinishing old pieces with Annie Sloan's paint.  He must have completed all of his orders.  Such a kind gentleman and a great craftsman.  We are so lucky to have him here.

Here is the Ivan and Davis - 1896 - Building.  The Incredible Toy Emporium.  People travel for miles to come and purchase the most unusual toys for their children.  I love to just go in and look at all the lovely toys they have  The children get so excited with anticipation wondering what Santa will be bringing them.

OH, look at that Henry putting up a sign - oh goody goody a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday for only $5.00.  They must have gotten the roads open.  There is Mrs. Kringle holding Kelly up to mail a letter to Santa, hope he gets it in time.  Poor Waldo is trying to get a drink from the frozen fountain.  He loves the snow - running around and around trying to catch snowflakes.

Here is an overview of the town of Fullertonville.  It is a wonderful place to come for a visit, so quaint and everyone is so friendly.  Remember to make your reservations early before the B & B gets sold out.

WISHING EVERYONE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

FALL GARDEN

I had to share this beautiful day with you today.  When I went out to the back yard to feed the birds and do a little clean up I couldn't believe my gardens.  They were stunning!

Meet Daisy and Danny, there are in the front yard to greet you and would like you to come into the front yard to see the flowers.  This rose is Peace.

Meet Marilyn Monroe, a beautiful pale flesh colored rose.  She is next to my Tiger Tail plant, they look so pretty next to each other.

This is the red Eden rose and is a pretty deep red.

This is my frog bird bath that I purchased in Mexico many years ago.  It sets at the end of my dry creek bed.

All of these roses are English roses with many petals on them.  I like them when they have over 30 petals per rose.

This rose came from Covington, GA.  When I was a Meeting Planner we were having a show in Covington at our facility there.  I met a lovely lady from Sugar Babe's restaurant who was doing our catering.  Through the years we became friends and I used her all the time when we needed a cater.  One day I received a package in the mail. In the package was this rose bush.  It came from her home and was over a 100 years old.  She was in the process of selling her home and she wanted this rose bush to go to someone who would care for it.  I was so touched by her kindness..  It's a very soft pink small tea rose.

Can you see the Paper Whites peaking thru... They are really early this year.  My son, Shaun, gave me the bulbs many years ago for Christmas.

This is the side of the front yard.  Can you see the rabbit bench - another find in Mexico.

Aren't these a lovely color - orange with cream under coat.

Another picture of my dry creek bed.  We put this dry creek bed in because when going up to the front door  it always flooded when it rained.

This is John F Kennedy rose - it looks like blood drops on the side of the rose.  A beautiful white... It is almost ready to loose it petals, but so pretty.

Another one of my favorite roses, it's in the back yard.

As you can see all of my roses are really blooming and I hope they continue through Christmas.  I hope this brings a little sunshine to those who are having cold weather.

Hope you leave a comment as I love to read them.

PUNCH IT BROOMZELLA/HALLOWEEN FRONT PORCH

Don't you just love this picture on my Halloween front porch.  My artist friend Teryl painted this for me many many years ago from a picture in a magazine.  We got a piece of plywood - had it cut and she started her magic.  I put this on the front porch sitting on my little bench.

Some of my scary pumpkins along with my scarecrow. The scarecrow is from Walmart this year and the pumpkins from various places over the years.  I mix in real ones in with my ones that I keep.

Sorry about the timer sitting on the shelf of the table - forgot all about it.  The big Black Kitty Pumpkin looks like he is smiling, doesn't he.

This is my fall wreath - didn't get a chance to make it scary as I had some medical problems and had to take it easy, which is hard for me to do.

Some more pumpkins by the from door.  Do you see Broomzella's broom there - she flew in on that. That Black Cat looks so mean - hope he doesn't scare the little ones away.

It was a beautiful day yesterday and the sun was so bright.  I just couldn't get the glare out of the picture, but this gives you an idea of my Broomzella's porch

Well Broomzella said to say Happy Halloween to all and to all a good night - be careful Trick or Treating.

I hope you have enjoyed this post with my little friend Broomzella, said she would see you all next year.

Hope you will leave a comment as I love reading them all.

FALL DECORATIONS AND GARDEN

This is my Dining Room table decorations, just something simple.  I have had this horn of plenty for over 15 years.  When I was a Meeting Planner for a large corporation, the Hyatt Hotel invited me to a Chef's table luncheon in November.  This was held in the kitchen and there were about 40 of their best customers there.  The chef prepared our food as we watched.  All of the tables had this beautiful fall arrangement in the horn of plenty.  I won one and the real flowers stayed nice until after Thanksgiving.  So every year I bring it out and it brings out such wonderful memories of times past. I put lots of pumpkins and gourds in it making a lovely arrangement.  By the way the food was to die for - very very yummy.

Some of the pumpkins are real and the rest are from years past.  Love the little pumpkin and ghost/witch salt and pepper shakers

Just a little decoration for the coffee table using my little branch wheel barrel.  Will change it out depending on the season and move it from place to place.

A scary Booooooo pumpkin arrangement purchase three years ago from Michael's after Halloween.

Just a few fall candles, big pumpkin plate from Walmart a few years ago and a little wreath on my sofa table.

Another scary pumpkin arrangement from Michael's.  I love the little ghost and witch's hat.  They will hold tea candles in them.

Wanted to show you some of my roses.  They are going crazy - full of blooms.  I have never had this many so late in the season.  We will have blooms all year until they are pruned way back in January.  I am going to try something different this year.  I am going to give them a heavy dead head and not prune them close to the ground, because we do not have cold winters like back east and they will not freeze.

This rose is one of my favorites.  I don't know the name but it came from the Ninety Nine Cent store and it really performs.

Lots and lots of roses on this bush. I was on a test program with Jackson and Perkins and they sent 4 rose bushes to plant and let them know how they performed.  I never knew the name of this one or if they produced it.  It's a lovely color with just a little perfume.

I can't keep up with dead heading the roses.  I would have thought that they would have slowed down some this fall but, no such luck.

Aren't they just the cutest.  At night the little jars light up with a fire fly in them.  My friend Phyllis from Around the House gave them to me for my B day.

And of course my garden helper Waldo.  He is always with me where ever I go in the garden or house always keeping an eye on me

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you leave a comment as I love to read all of them.

Hope that you have a BOOOOOOOOOOO Halloween.

FALL LUNCHEON

Two of my friends wanted to come over for lunch.  So I sat a Fall Table for them.  They are such busy ladies working in the hospitality industry, Patricia working as a Revenue Manager in a hotel and Julie works for
Disneyland in Sales.

The dishes were purchased at Marshall's about 2 years ago  The sunflower plates also at Marshall's.  The amber glasses from Walmart about 2 years ago.

I wanted their luncheon to be special, so out came my Tuscany Rooster set of dishes and rooster silverware.

I took a wreath and added sunflowers, pumpkins with my pumpkin candle holder in the center.  Two rooster candle holders to the side of the wreath, aren't they just the cutest?  My friend Phyllis from Around The House gave them to me for my Birthday several years ago.

Pattie and Julie came with two wonderful pizza's from the Pizza Press.  Vegetarian with yummy veggies on them and a nice field green salad.  I had made a appetizer platter of dill pickles, olives, cucumbers and radishes.  For dessert I made a Snickerdoodle Peach Cobbler with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.

Aren't these dishes just wonderful for fall - the colors work so perfectly.

Don't the little pumpkins and gourds look cute.  I got some at Walmart and some at the Dollar Tree.

I just love these sunflower plates, they go so well with the dishes.  Hope you like my Fall Luncheon table.

Thanks for stopping by and I love reading your comments.
