MEET MY ROSES

Welcome to my garden look how pretty this rose is  - it's called Garden Party and the blooms are so big almost as big as a salad plate.

I don't remember the name of this rose but it has so many blooms and buds on it. Can you see the purple iris peaking out to the side her name is Betty and she pops out every year.

This is my Don Juan rose it always has so many blooms all year.  Do you think the name came from the real Don Juan since it has so many pretty little blossoms?
I hope you all are enjoying this tour of my gardens.

Just had to show you a couple of my iris's that I got at South Coast Plaza Garden Show a couple of years ago.  The colors on them are so unusual don't you think?

Now your never going to believe this but I got this rose at the 99 Cent Store and it is a Jackson and Perkins, but no name.  They look so pretty paired together with my purple iris.

These are one of my favorite roses a very pretty orange with light cream and they bloom and bloom and bloom.  Must be the good soil.  It just looks like a BIG ROSE PARTY.....

This rose is in my front yard with iris ready to bloom and my white saliva.
They make a nice combination.

This is my sunflower bird bath where the birds love to take baths.  I can sit outside for hours and watch the birds and take in all the beautiful roses that God created.  Can you tell that my favorite flowers are ROSES

This is one of my most favorite roses - St Patrick.  It starts out almost green and then turns into a beautiful yellow rose

I have shown you just a little of my roses.  My garden is more on the Cottage Style with a lot of iris, calla lily's, foxgloves, daisy, Mexican primrose and love in the mist.

Well my little helpers decided they were pooped, had enough ,so they were getting ready for their afternoon nap. I think I will join them.
I hope you enjoyed  my brief garden tour and of course there will be more to come with all of my flowers changing with the seasons.

This is the first year after retirement that I have been able to devote myself to my garden and I am loving it. So please leave me a comment as I do read all of them.

BUNNYVILLE MANOR

Well I finally got my Easter stuff out of the garage (gee what a nightmare) and bunnies were coming out of my ears.
I painted all this statuary about 15 years ago when I was into my statuary painting mode.
I was hoping that someday I would have a grand daughter and she would just LOVE these. My dining area is open to my living room you can see my RED Couch .

Gee I hope you love my dishes, they are about 100 years old and I purchased them from a older lady and I that I worked with in Peoria, Ill when I was a bushing bride. I purchased them for $50.00.  They are Haviland Bone China and let me tell you getting them out of lower cupboard was something to behold.
These cute little butter dishes, don't they look like cake domes this close up, but they are individual butter dishes.
Look at these pretty napkins, they are from Marshalls about 4 years ago.  They match the place mats and
don't they look perfect with these pastels Easter colors.
Doesn't my table look so cute with all the egg cottages, bunnies and chicks?  It was especially fun doing my little Easter trees.
I bought this Silverware 40 years ago from Pennys.  I guess I got a good deal because I still have it and it is in great shape.  Does anyone know the pattern?

This is a close up of my china tea cup and it is paper thin. Amazing that it has not chipped.

You can see the three different pieces with the scalloped edges.  Wow you are probably thinking this is a lot of pictures and a long post, just bear with me as it's only my third post.
Oh my goodness this little bunny just hopped into this dish and he wondered how he got  there.

This is a close up of my pretty swirly water and champagne pink glasses . I have had these about 20 years from Thrifty Drug Stores, I just love the pretty pink color.
This is another view of Bunnyville Manor.  I am getting pretty good with this camera work, don't you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed your visit.  I can sure appreciate the work all of you do on your tablescapes, wow there is a lot to do,  but it is also a lot of fun and I enjoyed creating this table for you.  Hope you leave a comment so I know you are there.joining  astrolethrulife astrollthrulife.net  betweennapson the porch

CHRISTMAS - WHO LET THE DOGS OUT

I finally found my Christmas pictures in this darn computer. Please bear with me. Even though its January I still wanted to show you my Christmas pictures and the dogs said they wanted to meet you, they are sooooooo excited.

Please meet Waldo he is my Border Collie rescued dog who is about 9 years old and my helper in the garden and trouble maker.

Can you see Waldo smiling - because he loves to have his picture taken - he is quite the HAM!!
Guess he thinks he is a person, are your animals like that?

This is Lili and she wants you to see her eyes, she thinks that they are her best feature.  She is a rescued dog and is about 4 years old, and the sweetest dog you would ever meet.

Lili wanted  you to see her profile and how pretty she is.  I know she is pretty but if she could help me a little more in the garden - that would be great - she thinks she is a DIVA LOL and does not like to get her toe nails dirty or wet.  You know how those DIVA 'S are.

As you can see this is my Christmas tree in the living room and I would have shown it during the holidays, except I just couldn't find it in this darn computer.  As you can see I love love love red and it works so well for Christmas which is my favorite holiday.  See the rooster pillow on the couch - that was from my granddaughter Kelly for Christmas, and it is one of my favorite gifts. Everyone KNOWS how I love roosters and chickens.  I will have to do a post on that some day.

Here is another picture of my buddy, garden helper and yard supervisor -  Waldo.

Thank you all so much for visiting me and taking the time to read my second post and making me feel so very welcome.

Please leave a comment as I read them all and love hearing from you.  If your not already a follower, please join me... Mary

Welcome to My Very First Blog Post

Hi everyone I am so excited about my very first blog, as I am new at this.  I hope you love all the things that I love, which is almost everything having to do with flowers and dogs and of course home.
Talk about roses, do I have roses, all kinds, but my favorite are roses with at least 30 petals.  I have about 150 roses in all shapes, and colors .
So for this first post I'm going to give you a little peek at my back yard.
That's Frankie the flamingo and he is watching over my garden and the dogs toys, thank goodness I don't have to feed him too.
Another peek at my garden......

This is one of my orchid plants, which has NEVER had this many flowers WOW.  One day it just exploded with all these flowers what a happy surprise it was for me!

I would like to introduce to Wilma.  Can you believe this is just one fern, must be the Miracle Grow.  Do any of you have any ferns this large?  I would love to see pictures of them.  I am here in sunny Southern  California and Wilma seems to love this area.  She stays outside all the time.  Do you bring yours indoors?
Here is one of my many iris plants and  they just grow and grow.  I tell you this land is like gold no wonder they panned for gold here.

I just love, love my fountain and so do my hummers.  They take their daily bath at the top.   The highlight of my morning is having a cup of coffee and watching my hummers.  They line up for their bath like little airplanes waiting to be refueled.  This fountain was a gift from my dearest friend Phyllis from Aroundrhouse.

This is a tiny portion of my front yard.  As the seasons develop my roses, iris and hydrangeas  go crazy.  I can't wait to show you all the colors in my yard.  You would think that the Rose Parade would call me for roses LOL  Maybe I should call them.
Well my friends, {I hope that I have made some friends} and I hope you have enjoyed some of my pictures and chit chat.  I am so anxious to hear what you all have to say, so please leave a comment so I know you are out there.  I would LOVE it if you would be one of my first followers.
Thank again, Mary
