This is my Candy and Cookie tree in my kitchen along with the Santa's that have been decorating the tree. They have been so busy ....
The Nutcracker wanted to help decorate also.
This wreath on my back coordinates with my tree in the kitchen.
This year I wanted to do something different on my tree, so I decorated the tree all in red ornaments and red birds.
I didn't put out all of my Santa's, just a few of my favorites. The Candy Santa is sitting on my desk.
This Santa was made by my very best friend Phyllis and he is my favorite.
My new center piece that I got at Michael's, 70% off, plus another 25%. I danced all the way to the checkout counter. I also purchased a new pillow at 70% off with another 25%. I had a very productive shopping day.
That's the pillow I purchased at Michael's, the red with snow flakes,
Just a few of my Santa's, I can't get to the rest of them as that would require me getting on the ladder and I have had orders from headquarters, DO NOT GET ON A LADDER
I am having a love affair with Snowmen, they are just so darn cute....... so I put them all together.
The tall one just jumped into my cart Saturday when I was at Albertson's buying groceries. I just couldn't tell him no, so home he came with me. The one to the left lights up, so cute.
Waldo loves to have his picture taken and he followed me all over while I was snapping photo's. He is getting so old, but he is still frisky.
My dining room table all decorated for the holidays. I see one of the elf's sitting by a candle.
I got the placemats at the Dollar Tree for $1.00 each, they are made of felt with glitter around the edges. The table runner and napkins were a gift to me for my Birthday from Phyllis.
The elf's have taken over the chandler, oh my.....
My Santa and Christmas Tree cookie jars. The Christmas Tree is a Christopher Radko and the snowman is from Target. I have had them for about 10 years.
My antique door with snowmen on the wreath
My arrangement on the hutch. All of the ribbon matches the tree and wreath
My front porch with a few antique items- the wagon, bike and chicken feeder
My old sled that I found leaning up against a tree, just waiting to go home with some one. I asked the people that lived there and they didn't want it. Even helped me put it in my car.
My wreath on the front door and another snowman..... oh my, they are taken over LOL
Hope you liked the tour of my cottage Now I will be baking a few goodies to take up to my son's.
I am going up there to spend Christmas with him and my granddaughter. So I can't wrap my gifts as I am traveling by plane. Will do that when I arrive.
I wish all of your a wonderful MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. Safe travels to all of you.

Mary, I always love seeing your beautiful cottage. The Christmas decorations go so perfectly with your toile and your red couch. I smile every time I see those things.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and Waldo a very Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much for stopping by Stacy and so glad that you liked my decorations. I didn't like I was on my game this year. It has taken me so long to finish decorating and I still go along and find something that needs to be tweaked.
DeleteWishing you and your a Very Merry Christmas.
Mary
Merry Christmas, Mary. Kai sends wags to Waldo and Lili also. I love your red tree. It really sparkles and that is what Christmas decorating is all about. Aren't snowmen funny? Just can't seem to get enough of them and they will follow you anywhere.. Everything looks wonderful and so pretty. Have a wonderful time with your family and safe travels..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your great comments. It was fun this year decorating, but felt like I was not on my game.
DeleteYes, I do love the snowmen and I ended up putting a small faux tree in my little sitting room filled with snowmen ornaments. I said that I was not going to have that many trees, but I broke down and added another one. I gave away most of my trees so I would want to put them up LOL
Wishing you, the Captain and Kai a Very Merry Christmas.
Hugs,
Mary
You have a designer touch with your holiday decor (as well as all of your home all the time!). Your idea for the 'red' tree is so original and it looks fantastic. Love your snowman collection. I have one, too, but they are tiny versions. I hope my grandkids enjoy it. Everything is stunning, Mary. Where do you get your energy?!!
ReplyDeleteI know you are going to have a lovely time with your family. Happy Holidays, Godspeed and much love, my special friend!
Jane
Oh Jane, thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a great compliment on my decorations. I did not do as much this year as it is getting harder and harder to do all that decorating, plus I will not be here. But I do enjoy going into each room with holiday decorations.
DeleteYour little ones are going to love Christmas at Grandma's house. I cn just see their little faces taking in all the sparkles and lights. Be sure to take lots of pictures.
Today I hope to bake after I go and have a bone scan. They are always taking test on this and that. Plus we are going to have a big storm and I want to be in my house smelling all the wonderful breads, cookies and fudge. So let it rain, we really need it.
So my dear Jane, have a most wonderful Christmas with all your children and grands.
Lots of hugs
Mary
Mary, you have the most wonderful home all decked out for Christmas! I am lovin' all the RED you have in your house. The candy and cookie tree in your kitchen is delightful, and I love your tall tree with the red ornaments and red birds. What a great idea! Both trees look like they could be featured in a magazine! Love that Nutcracker too! The candy wreath is so cute, and I like your snowmen collection. There's nothing like a cute snowman at Christmas. Your red couches are charming, and really go with the season. Everything looks wonderful, and I'm going to come back and see your post again. You sure are in the Christmas spirit, Mary, and that's such a nice thing to see.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
ps Waldo looks like he's enjoying the season as well. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by Sherri. I didn't do as much as I wanted to as it's difficult to get people to take boxes up and down and then drag them into the house. My friend helped me get the Christmas tree into the house and set it up. She is a god send.
DeleteI said that I was only going to set-up one tree in the living room, but I really love the one in the kitchen, so there goes another one. Then while setting in my setting room that I watch TV in, I felt that I needed some Christmas decor in there, so another very small tree and I decorated it with mostly snowmen. Have just a few more things to place outdoors on my tables and then i am done.
Will start my baking after I get back from having a bone test done.
So my dear Sherri, wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.
Hugs,
Mary
PS Yes, Waldo loves all the decorations and he has to check out each and everything bag I bring into the house.

ReplyDeleteMary- What joy in your home. I can tell y ou LOVE decorating for the season. You do such a good job and it is all just beautiful--from your candy-kitchen to your red tree to your dining room. It is lovely. Now...um....if you DIDN'T use a ladder HOW did you get that topper on the living room tree? Not that I am calling you out or anything but I remember ""THE ORDERS"" and just asking.....lol
ReplyDeleteThat Santa that Phyllis made is just beautiful. I did not realize how big it was until you showed it next to the hutch. She is amazingly talented. I don't think she blogs now, right? I think I found YOU through HER!

Oh Mary, I love every bit of your beautiful home! It's so festive. What a grand collection of Santas you have! And your kitchen tree is the most adorable ever. I love your table and all the happy red. I just adore red at Christmas -- it's so festive and happy. And I just feel I could come visit, we'd have tea and a good talk and both have big smiles on our faces, just looking around! Merriest!
ReplyDeleteMary, I don't think anyone would ever suspect that you ran out of time and so didn't do all the decorating you usually do! Funny how that happens, something (someone) just jumping into your shopping cart -- cheeky snowman!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping Jean. I really did run out of time. When I get tired I just stop and rest and go at it again.
DeleteYes, that Snowman was cheeky, wasn't he LOL.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
