CHRISTMAS SHOW AT SHINODA'S 2015

CHRISTMAS SHOW AT SHINODA'S - 2015

Shinoda's had their Christmas show, but I waited until a couple of days later.  The show is mobbed, so many people, no parking, pushing and shoving.  You would think it was the day before Christmas.
I must say that they had many, many lovely decorations.

I have picked the best of the trees and decorations to post as I didn't want you all to fall asleep.

So here goes ...... I've added a couple Halloween and Thanksgiving pictures also with a couple of tired doggies.  I don't know why they were so tired, they didn't go shopping.

The Carolers greeted people as arrived at the door, don't they look real?
Lets begin our looking and shopping experience.

Santa in his sled checking names of good little children.

Winter Wonderland - I am just going to show pictures and if you have any questions, just let me know and I will answer them as best I can.

Stunning Ribbon ....
Very, Very expensive, but oh so beautiful.  You know I love ribbons and am a little hoarder.

These poinsettia's were very large and stunning - I wanted some so badly.

Stunning wreath with apples, pears, pine cone's magnolia leaves and roses.

Lots of owls

Lots of gingerbread men, cookies, houses and treats.... Yum yum

Thought of my friend Kris with all these beautiful white decorations.

For all you Texas people - Howdy
Is that Cactus Pete?
Can you believe this - Chalk ribbon....

Lots of chalk boards in various sizes and designs plus the ribbon.
was a very bad girl - I bought a few of these for my tree - they are stunning.
Love all the Candy Canes - I put one of these trees in my kitchen with all the yummies on it.

Gotta love Santa with all that candy.

I immediately thought of Kris's husband Terry when I saw this.

Now for a few Halloween ideas

A few ideas for Thanksgiving.

That's it for the Christmas Show - hope that you didn't fall asleep and that I gave you some great ideas for your holidays.

Me, I felt like this by the time I got home.........

They are very tired and Waldo is guarding his purse.

Thanks so much for taking the time to go on this little tour with me.

Please leave your comments, we love to read them and will answer them back.

Mary

  1. HI Mary,
What a great show. WoW! Love all the whites yep you are right I was drawn there lol! The fire truck so cute too for Terry. I have a red fire truck out in the garden that I am thinking of putting our Christmas tree in this year. Just thinking if I should paint the truck white or keep it red lol! Hope you got some fun things.

It was very hard not to spend money there, but I was a very good girl.
Have a great week end - stop by and read my Where Is Fall.

    1. Thanks for stopping by. There were so many things that I would have loved to purchase, but I have so many Christmas decorations even after I gave away tons of stuff. I used to put a tree in each room, now I am down to just a big one in the living room and a small table top in the kitchen on top of the counter,
and that wears me out to do that decorating.
      Have a great weekend Cindy.

    1. thanks so much for stopping by and laving your sweet comments. Oh, I haven't even started Christmas yet. Will probably start a week before Thanksgiving. Since I have gotten older it take me a long time to decorate. I have pared down to only two trees. A small one I put in the kitchen and a 6 ft skinny tree in living room. Gave away tons of Christmas decor.
I think if you would go to a shelter there would be a wonderful dog for you. They bring you so much enjoyment. Both of mine are rescued dogs and they are the best.

  21. Mary, I want to go to this Christmas show at Shinodas! I've never been there before, it's festive and wonderful. There are so many interesting and unique items in this shop. I love how the carolers greet you at the door. I want to get some carolers this year, I think they're delightful. I really like the bows that you brought home with you, and that was one of my favorite sections........also, the candy canes and all the red and white whimsical stuff. Love that baker Santa. The girls would love that chalk ribbon, how creative. The wreath with the pine comes and red roses caught my eye, and I really liked that pretty red ribbon.

Wow, I will tell Nel about this place. She says it's finally starting to get cooler in So Cal and feeling like Fall.

Thank you for the birthday wishes for Jess today, Mary. She will appreciate that so much.

  30. Wow Mary- all that eye candy, huh? What a show that must have been! It's hard to motivate for Christmas just yet, as I was barefoot just a few days ago here. It's cooled down but I am so not ready to think much about the holidays yet. But I am usually done with Christmas shopping and wrapping by the end of October - it was all those years in retail management, one cannot delay when one works 80 hour workweeks through the holidays. I remember years ago one Christmas Eve I didn't get home till after midnight (I worked 6:30am till 11:30pm) and then had to go home, pack up the car and drive 3.5 hours to my mother's house, getting there after 4am and my daughters were there (still believed in Santa) and were up at 6:30 for gifts and my making breakfast, cooking the meal, cleaning it up and then had to drive another 3.5 hours back home and open up the store to do the markdowns and returns, another 6:30 - close day. I used to be a zombie back then. I nearly worked myself to death. I could never ever do it now, no way. That's for the young people, haha.

I shudder to even recall it. So if a clerk is short tempered, remember they work so hard with little money and never getting a break - so be extra patient and shop early for the holidays! : - )

    Hugs.

  65. Oh Mary, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else than California. Living in northern California, I'm not too far from the snow and just have to drive a bit if I want to play and enjoy. Now, Nel told me a place in So Cal that has snow called Big Bear and I heard it's beautiful. I bet it's not too far from you, have you been there before? And Disneyland, the happiest place on earth! The girls plan on making a trip there real soon to get some Disney love.

  72. What a delightful tour of Shinodas...thanks for taking us along. I'm glad I don't live near that design center!! I'd be broke, for sure!

  73. Dear Mary~ My daughter, Maryalice, is a huge fan of Shinoda's and has been for years. She used to buy tons of stuff from there every year but all of that has changed..however..I think she is back to shopping there. Every year the girls would say they were taking me to Shinoda's but somehow we never got there..at least I didn't.
I would want everything in the store and a place like that is a dangerous thing for me. LOL Thanks for sharing your shopping trip with us.

ps I asked my daughter if she's heard of Fullerton, and she said it was a nice town with a lot of charming houses around. I told her you will probably stay there in your house with your dogs and your wonderful roses. :)
