CHRISTMAS SHOW AT SHINODA'S - 2015
Shinoda's had their Christmas show, but I waited until a couple of days later. The show is mobbed, so many people, no parking, pushing and shoving. You would think it was the day before Christmas.
I must say that they had many, many lovely decorations.
I have picked the best of the trees and decorations to post as I didn't want you all to fall asleep.
So here goes ...... I've added a couple Halloween and Thanksgiving pictures also with a couple of tired doggies. I don't know why they were so tired, they didn't go shopping.
The Carolers greeted people as arrived at the door, don't they look real?
Lets begin our looking and shopping experience.
Santa in his sled checking names of good little children.
Winter Wonderland - I am just going to show pictures and if you have any questions, just let me know and I will answer them as best I can.
Stunning Ribbon ....
Very, Very expensive, but oh so beautiful. You know I love ribbons and am a little hoarder.
These poinsettia's were very large and stunning - I wanted some so badly.
Stunning wreath with apples, pears, pine cone's magnolia leaves and roses.
Lots of owls
Lots of gingerbread men, cookies, houses and treats.... Yum yum
Thought of my friend Kris with all these beautiful white decorations.
For all you Texas people - Howdy
Is that Cactus Pete?
Can you believe this - Chalk ribbon....
Lots of chalk boards in various sizes and designs plus the ribbon.
was a very bad girl - I bought a few of these for my tree - they are stunning.
Love all the Candy Canes - I put one of these trees in my kitchen with all the yummies on it.
Gotta love Santa with all that candy.
I immediately thought of Kris's husband Terry when I saw this.
Now for a few Halloween ideas
A few ideas for Thanksgiving.
That's it for the Christmas Show - hope that you didn't fall asleep and that I gave you some great ideas for your holidays.
Me, I felt like this by the time I got home.........
They are very tired and Waldo is guarding his purse.
Thanks so much for taking the time to go on this little tour with me.
Please leave your comments, we love to read them and will answer them back.

HI Mary,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great show. WoW! Love all the whites yep you are right I was drawn there lol! The fire truck so cute too for Terry. I have a red fire truck out in the garden that I am thinking of putting our Christmas tree in this year. Just thinking if I should paint the truck white or keep it red lol! Hope you got some fun things.
Kris
I knew when I saw the white display that you would like it. I think the tree in the Red Fire Truck would be amazing. I love the red that you put into your decorations last year.
DeleteIt was very hard not to spend money there, but I was a very good girl.
Have a great week end - stop by and read my Where Is Fall.
Hugs,
Mary
What a wonderful open house! So many beautiful things, Love the photo of the dogs! Precious!
ReplyDeleteJudy
Lili loves to sleep close to waldo and he had his purse like he was ready to go shopping LOL. That's the way I felt when I got home. That warehouse is so large - I needed one of those carts to rid around in. LOL
DeleteHave a great week.
Mary
So many beautiful things...I wouldn't know where to look first. It would be very hard not to buy everything! This was a real treat ~ thank you.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you liked the tour, there were so many things that I would have loved to purchase, but I didn't.
DeleteThanks for stopping by. Hope your garden is hanging in there.
Mary
Oh how fun it this place! I don't think we have any place like that is Phoenix (at least not that I know of), so it was fun to take the tour with you. And, it didn't cost me a dime :) Enjoy the days ahead! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. There were so many things that I would have loved to purchase, but I have so many Christmas decorations even after I gave away tons of stuff. I used to put a tree in each room, now I am down to just a big one in the living room and a small table top in the kitchen on top of the counter,
Deleteand that wears me out to do that decorating.
Have a great weekend Cindy.
Mary
wow, that Owl tree is the one I want..
ReplyDeleteI cant wait for the stores here to start putting out their Christmas items.
Thanks for taking us on this beautiful and tour..
Thanks so much for stopping by Sonny. I was at Walmart this morning and they already had out their Christmas trees and some decorations. There were so many beautiful things there that I wanted, but
DeleteI've put myself on a budget and I am trying so hard to stick to it.
Have a great weekend.
Mary
LOL- I don't usually read the comments but I saw Kris's name. Only SHE would think of painting a FIRE TRUCK WHITE! lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a great show. Those ribbons are all fantastic and I LOVE the poinsettias you bought- I have never seen any like them -white with all the red veining.
Looks like you tired your pups out just talking about all the walking you did. What a great show, Mary.
Hope you have a great day- I am back to blogging and sassing as of this morning....xo Diana
Thanks Diana for stopping by. Did you go to my Where is Fall post? I love Fall so much, but forget about it here.
DeleteSo glad that you are back to blogging, dear friend.
Hugs,
Mary
Hi Mary, WOW another great show again this year. I love when you share your visits to this Christmas wonderland.
ReplyDeleteLove so many things and see so much new too. Chalk board ribbon, how cool is that? Your poinsettias are beautiful. Thank you for sharing all the beauty with us. Hugs, cm
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I loved the show so much. I can't believe that I was such a good girl and only purchased 3 of those flowers. I just gave away tons of decorations so I sure don't need to buy more.
DeleteHave a terrific weekend.
Hugs,
Mary
Loved the post Mary it looks like they have so many wonderful new things for Christmas Love the flowers that you bought they are so beautiful I'm going to read the post before this now but glad I stopped in
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful place to visit! I can see why it would be crowded with a lot of people. I love everything that you shared. The ribbon and pointsetta's are nice. I like the chalkboard stuff too. I wish we had a place like that here. Waldo and Lily are just so cute sleeping.
Enjoy the weekend.
Hugs Julie

Hugs,
Mary
What beautiful pictures! I love all things Christmas... even in October :-)))
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by. I am so glad that you liked everything. There was so much to see and I didn't post all of the pictures that I tool.
DeleteHave a great weekend.
Mary
Hi Mary! What a wonderful Christmas show! Love seeing all of the displays! I know these kinds of shows, the items, are pretty expensive. I would want so much! :) Poor doggies. They were worn out waiting for their mommy to get home! :) Hope you've had a good week.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Thanks for popping by Shelia. Yes, I was tired and so were the dogs. You would think that they went with me. Waldo had his purse close by guarding it to make sure I didn't taken any of his money LOL. Or maybe it was treats he was worried about.
DeleteHope your having a grand time....
Mary
Wow, what amazing Christmas displays, Mary! I bet you were dizzy just looking at everything! I love the owl tree, and the chalkboard display too. I never am in the mood to shop Christmas stuff til, well, Christmas! Love the pic of your fur babies all curled up snug.
ReplyDeleteThe owls tree was very pretty and I loved all that decorative ribbon with the sparkles on it. I immediately thought of you. I know how much your like bling, and sparkles. I wanted some ribbon so badly but then I don't want to use it. LOL
DeleteHave a great one.
Mary
I do believe this is the first Christmas post I've seen!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and I hoped you like the beautiful decorations.
DeleteMary
Wow! So many pretty things!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! So many pretty things!!!
ReplyDeletethanks so much for stopping by. Yes, it was Winter Wonderland and I wanted it all LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Mary
I'm still decorating for Fall so can't even think of Christmas yet! Your dog pics are wonderful. I would love to have another dog, but just can't seem to do it even after 20-some years of missing my last dog Ginger.
ReplyDeletethanks so much for stopping by and laving your sweet comments. Oh, I haven't even started Christmas yet. Will probably start a week before Thanksgiving. Since I have gotten older it take me a long time to decorate. I have pared down to only two trees. A small one I put in the kitchen and a 6 ft skinny tree in living room. Gave away tons of Christmas decor.
DeleteI think if you would go to a shelter there would be a wonderful dog for you. They bring you so much enjoyment. Both of mine are rescued dogs and they are the best.
Again, thanks so stopping by and have a wonderful week.
Mary
I'm wondering how reasonable it would be to board a plane just to buy those white poinsettia flowers...
ReplyDeleteMary scrolling your photos on this post caused me grateful anticipation for the beauty and wonderment of Holiday décor. Love the woodland creatures and I go all icy and snowy for the Holidays reflected in Whites and creams. Looks like you had a very fun visit and I'm sure it inspired your seasons décor.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment on my en Noir et Blanc post. I truly enjoyed working on the post.
xoxo,
Vera
Thanks so much Vera for you kind comments. the show was wonderful and I came away with lots of ideas. But, will probably forget by the time it comes to decorate.
DeleteI love Christmas with all the beautiful decorations.
Have a terrific week.
Mary
I would go crazy in there.
ReplyDeleteI am like a kid in a candy store when I go there. My eyes glaze over and I am in awe of all the beauty.
DeleteThanks so stopping by.
Mary
Mary,
ReplyDeleteOMG!! This post was just amazing!! I adore Christmas so it was like a trip into a Wonderland for me!!
Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thanks again for dropping by!!
Hugs,
Deb
Oh Deb, it was such fun and I got a lot of ideas. Now if I can remember what I saw by the time I start decorating for Christmas. LOL
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by and have a terrific week.
Hugs,
Mary
Hi Mary! Thanks so much for popping in to see me and I hope you're having a good week.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Mary, I want to go to this Christmas show at Shinodas! I've never been there before, it's festive and wonderful. There are so many interesting and unique items in this shop. I love how the carolers greet you at the door. I want to get some carolers this year, I think they're delightful. I really like the bows that you brought home with you, and that was one of my favorite sections........also, the candy canes and all the red and white whimsical stuff. Love that baker Santa. The girls would love that chalk ribbon, how creative. The wreath with the pine comes and red roses caught my eye, and I really liked that pretty red ribbon.
ReplyDeleteWow, I will tell Nel about this place. She says it's finally starting to get cooler in So Cal and feeling like Fall.
Thank you for the birthday wishes for Jess today, Mary. She will appreciate that so much.
love, ~Sheri
Let me know if you come down and I will take you and Nel. I have a card so I can get in. The Carolers were so pretty. There is so much to see and I didn't even post all the pictures that I took. I was afraid that everyone would be bored.
DeleteHave a terrific week.
Hugs,
Mary
Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI can always count on you for a pretty prelude to the Christmas season! What gorgeous items at this gathering of Christmas characters (snowmen and Santas and gingerbread men are my favourites), wreaths in lovely seasonal motifs featuring fruit, pine cones, holly, etc., and of course all those glistening, trimmed trees! What fun you must have had strolling around Shinoda's Christmas Show! Thanks for sharing and giving us a peek into my favourite holiday!
Have a wonderful week, my friend!
Hugs,
Poppy
My dear Poppy, so glad that you liked my post. It was such fun. I took a friend that is quite crafty and I thought she would go crazy. She was in a trance and had never been there before.
DeleteSo glad to receive a comment from you and that you are okay. Take care my dear friend.
Hugs,
Mary
Oh my Mary...what a great place for Christmas inspiration....and other holidays too!....I am happy to see that owls are still the rage!....I am sure you were in awe of the magnificent decorations....I would have avoided the crowds too!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you liked my post Shirley. It was a lot of fun taking pictures. i didn't even post all of them as it would have been to long of a post.
DeleteYou will have to stop by and see my Fall decor - love Fall.
Take care of that foot.
Mary
Okay....now I got it to work! Yay! Boy, blogger sure has been giving me trouble the pas few days. I promise to stop back tomorrow, Mary, and leave a better comment! So happy to meet you, and hugs back to you, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Becky, so glad that you liked the post. Hope you get your computer working. It drives me crazy when mine acts up.
DeleteHave a wonderful week.
Mary
Hi Mary. I suspect Waldo is protecting his (Man) purse so you don't grab it a do some more shopping!! Looks like such a fun show. You can get so many ideas. Love the chalk-board ribbon, what a great idea. I need some new garland but it is so expensive to get enough to go very far. Maybe Waldo would loan me some money..Happy Wednesday..Judy
ReplyDeleteWaldo guards that purse LOL. He is my protector - his always laying down close to me where ever I am at.
DeleteGlad you like all the pretties - If I didn't have to watch my money I would have gone hog wild in there. But,
I have to be careful.
Have a great week and I hope you do not have the extreme hot weather that we do.
Mary
Mary, I always enjoy the tour you give us of this open house! The poinsettias you bought really are stunning! I do a candy tree in our basement every year so I enjoy seeing that décor. The white and fire truck does bring Kris to mind. Those doggies certainly are tuckered out! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Thanks for stopping by Jann and that you liked all the beautiful treasures. I loved those poinsettias also, wish I could have afforded to purchase about 20 of those.
DeleteHave a great week and I hope you do not have the extreme hot weather that we do - it's terrible.
Hugs,
Mary
Love all the beautiful pictures -- gorgeous Christmas decorations. What does Waldo have in his purse -- that is so cute!! I had a little toy poodle whose prize possession was a nasty piece of rawhide she chewed on -- she would take it to the door to welcome my husband home each night.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the wonderful decorating ideas -- I, too, used to decorate every room but have given away huge amounts of decor -- age does have a way of catching up, doesn't it.
Have a wonderful day and I look forward to your next post --
Patty
Many beautiful things! So precious. I love our house. This post was just amazing! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by and so glad that you liked the post. Hope you got some great ideas out of the post.
DeleteMary
What great and lovely ideas, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by an leaving great comments. Hope you liked all the wonderful ideas.
DeleteMary
Wow Mary- all that eye candy, huh? What a show that must have been! It's hard to motivate for Christmas just yet, as I was barefoot just a few days ago here. It's cooled down but I am so not ready to think much about the holidays yet. But I am usually done with Christmas shopping and wrapping by the end of October - it was all those years in retail management, one cannot delay when one works 80 hour workweeks through the holidays. I remember years ago one Christmas Eve I didn't get home till after midnight (I worked 6:30am till 11:30pm) and then had to go home, pack up the car and drive 3.5 hours to my mother's house, getting there after 4am and my daughters were there (still believed in Santa) and were up at 6:30 for gifts and my making breakfast, cooking the meal, cleaning it up and then had to drive another 3.5 hours back home and open up the store to do the markdowns and returns, another 6:30 - close day. I used to be a zombie back then. I nearly worked myself to death. I could never ever do it now, no way. That's for the young people, haha.
ReplyDeleteI shudder to even recall it. So if a clerk is short tempered, remember they work so hard with little money and never getting a break - so be extra patient and shop early for the holidays! : - )
Hugs.
So glad to hear from you. I thought that maybe your were ill. I know, I feel so sorry for the people in retail.
DeleteLong hours, little pay and mean customers. Out here there are a lot of Mexican sales people as so many people speak very little English.
So glad you like the post - I felt like I was in a Magical place with all those lovely decorations.
Hope your out of the boot and getting around better. Take care of your self.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs
Mary
PS thanks so much for stopping by.
What is in Waldo's purse? It's so cute that he keeps it nearby.
ReplyDeletePatty
Hi Mary! This is the only way I can leave a comment on MY OWN blog, and yours, too! I've been messing around with my settings, but nothing helps. And I didn't even change anything when it began happening all by itself! Just wanted to let you know I loved your comment and so glad you chose to follow me! I hope to post something soon. It's been a crazy few days. Hope all is well in your part of the world!
DeleteHi Mary! I popped over from Diana's. I'm glad I did.
ReplyDeleteI love the candy and ice cream tree! I think you are smart to put a little tree in the kitchen and load it with candy. The grandkids would love it (maybe not their parents, but that's okay).
Your dogs are funny, all snoozy.
I'm glad I found you.
Mary, Congrats on your win at Diana's blog. I loved your photos of all this glorious Christmas stuff...my all time favorite the chalk ribbon...clever. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteHello Mary, I just came over to congratulate your on winner Diana's give-a-way and now I am your newest follower. What an amazing Christmas fair, if that doesn't get you in the mood for the holidays nothing can, LOL. I do think that they start too early each year, but then I'm working on a Christmas quilt for my husband . . . things don't get made over night :) I do hope that you will come visit my blog and maybe if you like it, you will follow me back. I so enjoy making new blogging friends.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week.
Connie :)
My first visit to your blog and found it a joy. I loved seeing all the pretty Christmas things. However, I do not decorate anymore. Just me.
ReplyDeleteHi, Mary. Congratulations! I love all the Christmas photos. All the decor is pretty. I really like the white, aqua, and pink tree with the ice cream cone, and the carolers. xoxo Su

Well ..heck, I lost my comment. My daughter, Mary, is always talking about this place and now I can see why.
ReplyDeleteI would go just plain crazy in a place like that. LOVED it! Nothing like that in Riverside. OC is the place for places like that.
Hugs!
Mona
Mary, I would have loved to seen those hummingbirds fluttering about your home. I can't believe that you get so many of them. You know, I don't see them that often, but when I do, I sure stop and take it all in.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week ahead, Mary.
love, ~Sheri
Love seeing all these displays. We have a place here, HOLLAND GARDENS, that have unbelievable trees and decos...such fun and their After Christmas Sale is awesome.
ReplyDeletexoxo
This is so spectacular I don't even know how to begin to comment! It's magnificent and your photos are wonderful -- they should hire you for their PR! I would have simply lost my mind!
ReplyDeleteHI Mary! Hope you're doing well and thanks for popping in to see me. Happy Halloween to you too! Do you have many kids come to trick or treat at your house? Of course we'll be taking our little grandchildren through the neighborhood!

Coming by to say Happy Halloween....
ReplyDeletexoxo
I remember when you showed the shop last year and still haven't visited.
ReplyDeleteI love Barbara Cheatley's in Claremont. They had their Christmas party on October 17 and I was going to go with my sister and cousin, but we decided that it would just be too crazy. We are meeting there next weekend.
Wow, so many pretty displays! I can't think of a place here in NJ that would have that kind of huge display. Wonderful! Waldo looks dog-tired!
ReplyDeleteI love shows like this! The owls were my favorite. Thank you so much for the nice compliment on my own shop pics! So nice to know that you stopped by!
ReplyDeleteMary, this looks like a huge show with lots of beautiful things. I think the owls were adorable. I'm surprised that owls have continued to show up in the fore front of decorating. I'm happy! Owls are special creatures.
ReplyDeleteNice to see all your pictures. Sounds that you had a great time in spending in this place. My eyes were wandering here and there. I thought that i was in that place seeing all this real...
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, I can see why you'd be tired after attending a show like this. It's huge! My favorite displays were the one with the bears, and the white one where you mentioned Kris. You're right, seeing that makes me think of her, too. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for your nice comment.
ReplyDeleteHi, Mary! I haven't been around much lately, and it was soooo nice to see your sweet comment on my fall porch post! Thank you! This place you visited looks wonderful! I'd love to spend hours and hours there! Thanks for sharing--talk about inspiration!! :) ~Zuni

Oh my goodness Mary, this is Christmas heaven. So much to see. I would totally loose it in a place like this. Gorgeous inspiration and plenty to buy.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting. Have a great week.
Janet
Hi Marty and it's always so good to hear from you! Hope you're doing well.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

Oh Mary, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else than California. Living in northern California, I'm not too far from the snow and just have to drive a bit if I want to play and enjoy. Now, Nel told me a place in So Cal that has snow called Big Bear and I heard it's beautiful. I bet it's not too far from you, have you been there before? And Disneyland, the happiest place on earth! The girls plan on making a trip there real soon to get some Disney love.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Hi Mary! Thank you so much for popping in to see me and I hope you're doing well. Is your watering ban lifted yet?
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

I am more than happy today after staying over 6 months without my husband. I was of the thought that it was going to be a boring xmas celebration spending it without my husband who just suddenly left me for no reason and was having an affair with my best friend ,not too long i saw a post of this great temple and the power of restoration by Dr Zadson and i contacted him via eduduzadsontemple@yahoo.com and in a space of 3 days my husbaand came back and this is going to be the best christmas celebration ever am so glad. If you need such miraculous change contact this good doctor viua eduduzadsontemple@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteHi Mary! Are you ready for thanksgiving?
ReplyDeleteMary, this is just fabulous! All that Christmas has my heart singing a big happy song!
ReplyDeleteWe have a nursery that has beautiful Christmas things, too....most are very expensive but you can get good ideas .
ReplyDeleteGlad you ha a good time looking at all that beauty.
Hi Mary how are your holidays coming along?
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful tour of Shinodas...thanks for taking us along. I'm glad I don't live near that design center!! I'd be broke, for sure!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderfully Merry Christmas & a Healthy 2016!
Dear Mary~ My daughter, Maryalice, is a huge fan of Shinoda's and has been for years. She used to buy tons of stuff from there every year but all of that has changed..however..I think she is back to shopping there. Every year the girls would say they were taking me to Shinoda's but somehow we never got there..at least I didn't.
ReplyDeleteI would want everything in the store and a place like that is a dangerous thing for me. LOL Thanks for sharing your shopping trip with us.
I wish you much peace and joy and love in the new year, Mary. Thank you for being such a dear blog friend to me.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
ps I asked my daughter if she's heard of Fullerton, and she said it was a nice town with a lot of charming houses around. I told her you will probably stay there in your house with your dogs and your wonderful roses. :)
Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteJust stopped by to wish you a most happy and blessed new year, may all your dreams come true!
Hugs,
Patti
Thank you so much Patti, wishing you a Blessed New Year also.
DeleteHugs,

Happy New Year Mary !
ReplyDeleteWOW - what a place - I'd develop a tic from my head snapping all over the place if I walked in there - just stunning !
I immediately thought of Terry when I saw that fire truck too :)
XOXO
Hi Mary, love your header. Stopping by to wish you a Happy New Year!! God bless you with health, happiness and love always. xo
